Fred Fernandez-Coll
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to a middle-class family. With sacrifices, my parents provided me with an excellent elementary and high school education. Subsequently, I went to college both in Puerto Rico and in the United States, ending with a Master of Science degree. I worked as a professor for the University of Puerto Rico for 33 years, performing duties as researcher, administrator, classroom professor and finally doing extension work teaching non-college adults. I retired in the year 2008.
Since young I have been interested in everything pertaining to spirituality, the transcendental and the cosmic. Since my young adulthood, I have participated in various groups and activities to these effects. For decades, I have been a student of Ancient Wisdom and have put myself in contact with various disciplines and philosophies. At present, my main activities in this area have been the translation of an Ancient Wisdom book from English into Spanish, and serving as speaker for the Inter-American Theosophical Federation, having given talks up to now in Dominican Republic and in El Salvador.
Due to the fact that my soul decided this time to incarnate under the sign of Virgo, I am characterized by possessing a sensitizing energy that allows me to naturally relate to Mother Earth, nature and womanhood. My romantic warrior spirit is thus at the service of the feminine aspect of Divinity. To carry on these endeavors, my communication skills (written and oral) both in English and Spanish; ease for translation in both ways; capacity for synthesis; ability to conceptualize things and describe concepts in an easy manner, utilizing analogies as main resource, will always be at hand.
