My name is Luis Angel López Mathamba, I was born and raised in a rural town in Guatemala (San Francisco Zapotitlán), where the reality of Latin America is lived, because the culture, native biodiversity and agri-food systems are being degraded, which has created poverty and food and nutritional insecurity. So I am working to reduce these problems, because all people deserve to live happily and with dignity. The main tools of my work are traditional ecological knowledge of cultural groups, biodiversity and my academic training; where I integrate my experience to solve sociocultural problems.
