Byron Miranda Abaunza

Byron Miranda Abaunza, is Nicaraguan, with a doctorate in human and organizational development; master of science in rural development; bachelor degree in agricultural administration and zootechnical agronomy. He was an international professional at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, IICA, during the period 1995 to 2019; he was Honorary President of the Rural Research and Development Foundation, FIDER. He is currently in active retirement committed to the good causes of the rural world, as: a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Research Program on Development and Environment, PRISMA;  an international consultant and speaker; a professor in the master's and doctoral programs (Loyola University, Córdoba, Spain; National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, UNAN).

His areas of concentration are the management of processes to strengthen the organizational, technical and political capacities of people, communities and their organizations, with an emphasis on the management of territorial innovation systems led by people.
