Solhanlle Bonilla Duarte

I am very happy to belong to the FEV, I share the principles and values that have created this beautiful initiative.

My formal undergraduate academic background is Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Environmental Socioeconomics with an emphasis on environmental management, and doctoral studies in Natural Resources and Environment Management.

My work experience includes the public, academic and private sectors. Currently and since 2009, I work as a Research Professor at the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) in the area of Basic, Environmental and Engineering Sciences. My work as a university professor began in 2011 at INTEC and I am currently responsible for two courses in two master's programs: Economics and Management of Natural Resources and Environmental Economics in the Environmental Sciences and Environmental Engineering programs, respectively.

My main areas of work and research are: ecosystem services and their links to human well-being, economic valuation of environmental externalities, economic instruments for environmental management, financial mechanisms for natural resource management, climate change, and ecosystem-based adaptation. It seems to me that one of the main ways to achieve our dream of a more inclusive, fair, sustainable, equitable world with ethical values is this type of initiative. Together we can!
