I am deeply honored to be part of the FEV as a facilitator, volunteer, and contributor to various capacity-building initiatives and acts of kindness.

My undergraduate degree is in Agricultural Engineering, and I hold two master’s degrees: one in Coffee Genetic Improvement from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and another in Organic Agriculture, Phytogenetic Resources, and Biotechnology from the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) in Turrialba. Doctoral studies in Tropical Agriculture and Climate Change (CATIE – UPUDUE). United Nations Specialist in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2014, with experience in the management of biodiversity, water, and soil resources in the Americas, as well as training and education at

the ministerial and local government levels.

Certified in Engineering for the Treatment of Special Waters through the 2022 Green Fund, focusing on the application of technologies and systems for obtaining water for drinking and other uses, supported by initiatives in water purification systems.

I worked as a researcher in Venezuela at the Institute of Agricultural Research and at the Central University of Venezuela on topics related to plant breeding. At IICA, I provided support to the entire Americas region on issues related to natural resources and agriculture. At EARTH University for Climate Change Adaptation, I served as Coordinator of the 2015 Intergenerational Shared Responsibility for Climate Change (ECOin) Project, under the Office of the President of EARTH. I supported EARTH’s Continuing Education Program (PEP) in capacity-building efforts related to sustainable agriculture and climate change. I also coordinated climate change initiatives and the country report on Costa Rica’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), developed by the University for International Cooperation (UCI), CCAFS, and CGIAR, in the creation of socioeconomic scenarios to address climate change in Central America.

I currently work as a researcher and instructor in the Faculty of Agronomy at the UCR and provide support at the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), where I cover various topics, particularly regarding the sustainability of agri-food systems and the management of watersheds.

I know that we can continue to do our best in harmony with Mother Gaia, supporting those most in need, sharing our knowledge, and giving our best to the Universe!
